To BigJimT and everybody else. His suggestion with hte fake user name and password at the Mobile me worked just fine.If you cannot sync just right click on the isync, open Mobile me pref. and enter a new user name and password. It can be any stupid combination of letters and numbers. Then hit the sync now and it will sync. I run Snow Leopard 10.6.8
Google Sketchup For Mac Os X 10.6.8
Is there a way to set the priority to your mac book address book when ongoing sync takes place. I make changes in address book only to have them overridden during the sync processes by the old data on the google database.
Using 10.6.2. I have the same problem with syncing google contacts to address book as well. However, what is strange is that it worked when I used another google account! When I switched back to my original account, it failed to sync again.
My adressbook synched with google contacts but it duplicates all entries. as previously i was having around 2600 entries in both my google contacts and address book and all were same. but after synching it became 4710 both side. please help if you know why!!!
or if no bluetooth port is selected: "processing.app.SerialNotFoundException: Serial port 'COM1' not found. Did you select the right one from the Tools > Serial Port menu?"Using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro, all software up to date via software update.
The Uno worked on my PPC G5 for the past year. The "solution" to "just use the G5" is no longer an option.Never had a "Network detected" dialog when plugging in Arduino Uno on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro.Changed out 4 different USB cords, all tested in working order. All USB ports directly on the computer were tried. When connected the Uno green "ON" LED is on and "L" LED is flashing most likely due to "Blinking Light" (File > Examples > Basic > Blink) example currently running and was uploaded from the PPC G5.
I've scoured the troubleshooting forums and , and googled and googled and googled. I really appreciate the input but no one has a solution. Like so many other Mac users on 10.6 to 10.7 with the loss of serial port choices, I'm disappointed that I can't use my Arduino. Perhaps an option would be to use a bluetooth/wifi interface but I feel for now I've lost the faith.
Thanks for the input! You guys got me thinking, I have my laptop setup with 2 partitions, I use the work partition all the time and I use the maintenance partition for running disk utilities and such on the work partition. The maintenance partition only has the default and software updated 10.6.8 with some additional maintenance utilities installed. So I booted to the maintenance partition, installed IDE Arduino 1.0.3, plugged in the Uno board and viola, the new Network device Detected dialog popped up. I uploaded some tests and the Uno works fine & dandy. But all my stuff is on my work partition so this setup would suck. I rebooted back to the work partition, as per your suggestion checked the console messages after plugging in the board:

Help!I am having the same problem with my serial port.I am using the arduino uno,Mac 10.6.8,and IDE 1.0.6.But I have a guess what the problem might be.I downloaded the library for "Make an arduino controlled robot",and ever since I have had the bluetooth serial port problem. Can anyone tell me if this is causing the problem and how to fix it!
On the MacBook Pro I'm running OS X 10.6.8 and a Bootcamp partition with Windows 7. On the XPS M1330 I have a dual boot of Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux. At some point in my life, I don't know when or why, I became a huge Google fan. Gmail and Google Calendar are my default mail and calendar applications. I use Google Chrome as my web browser and Picasa to store all of my pictures. Google Earth to check out new dive spots, Google Maps to prevent myself from getting lost, and Google Sketchup to plan out my workspace.
We are scheduled to hold this class in Room 111/113 with a laboratory of Macintosh iMac G5 computers. There are some additional Macintosh computers in Room 105m (Begle Library), Room 228, Room 615, and in the EMAT office area. In general, the application programs we will use in this class will run on any of the Macintosh computers except the oldest machines. There are distinctions such as operating systems and hard disk drives that have to be accounted for. If you have your own Mac, or access to one, I will help you get set up to run these programs on it (if it is possible). Most Macs today run with operating system Mac OS 10.11.2 El Capitan. Mac OS 10.6.8 may be the last System software to run on some of the oldest machines. In general, as operating systems have improved over time, most people move to the newest system. Our machines in Room 111/113 use System Mac OS 10.11.2. All of the machines in the Rm 111/113 Laboratory are Intel Processor. Most of our software is also available for Windows machines. The functionality of some other Windows software is similar to what we use. Certainly the Windows environment could be used for implementing this course. Students can work at home on a Windows computer and transport to these Rm 111/113 machines via removable media (e.g. CD disks or USB thumb drives) or the network. It is also possible to set up FTP access to the server so that your web productions can be implemented from a remote site. Expect to experience a few hang-ups but it will work. Further, software or hardware with similar functionality is available on many hand-held devices. You would need Windows versions of GSP and Graphing Calculator 4.0 on your computer to fully implement this course.
I have an iMac 2006 5,1 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo to which I have changed the RAM to 4gb.I want to upgrade the OS of 10.6.8 to a better OS, not sure which system.Ideally i would be able to watch films etc via Netflix or the like. Run AutoCAD design drafting software and sketch up.General admin/accounts for domestic use and simple Internet use.I have linux on my laptop so don't have issues but the iMac is storage of music and photos of my wifes and she is very pro apple. So best to keep it to apple OS. i managed to get thru to apple support who thought i had the best OS for that machine. But i am hopeful that i can get lion onto it. 2ff7e9595c
